Good and bad update...

I'll start with the bad cos its better to end on a high.
Well we finally finished moving all our stuff into the new house, twas a hectic few days! :( So glad its over now.
First day parking outside our new house we get a £120 fine, £60 if we pay in the next 14 days!! Needed a permit thing apparently... to park outside our own house!
Next day we get a temporary permit from the council to cover us until the 17th... day after BAM another fine!! This time for £80, or £40 if we pay in the next 14 days. Went to the council and they gave us a proper permit this time. They said we can appeal the fine but the final decision is with the parking ppl! Even though its clearly their fault for giving us the wrong permit!!
I AINT PAYING IT FULL STOP! :X With all the costs of moving and Christmas OmFG like!!!

On a happier note, the house is looking better now we have wallpapered and given it a well needed lick of paint. We still haven't unpacked everything though. My computer is going to be the next thing I set up, atm im using *WesleyRiot laptop with his mobile phone internet thing. (clever thing!) Once I am set up I shall crack on with my commissions and should be able to upload them. We are getting tv, phone line and internet set up from the 19th to the 30th. Cant wait!! Have missed all my soaps!!!

Even better news... I'm starting a new full time job in Jan, hence the big move to London again. I went to meet up with the design teem yesterday, so many really talented creative individuals. They were really friendly and so I cant wait to start come January.
Im going to miss not being with my babies full time but its for them in the long run, I want to start saving for their future. :) Look at me being all grown up! LOL
I'll keep you guys updated on my adventures... I have to go right now as Hadley (who is sitting on my lap as I type this) just threw up milk all over my sleeve and himself!!! How lovely.

Happy Holidays!

Hi! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
I was just wandering if you were at all considering making a calendar- because I would love to have one of your art :) x
(Sorry, I know this isn't really related to the journal)

Well they can stuff it.

As for the good news I'm so happy for you! I know after a while sounding like a "grown-up" is weird. But it's always nice being able to revert :)

Completely off subject, just realized your hubby's name is Ash Collins, and my names is Ashley Collings. Just an interesting coincidence.

Glad the move went great! Good luck on the new job!

Wow, big move to a house in London!? Great news! Congratz you guys. Shame about the stupid council and parking nonsense, couldnt handle that about London, and all the confusing taxes you have to pay to just drive around it, and park there, insane. Congratz on the new job and hope it goes well for you, and hope we hear more about it and the work you are doing.

Have a great xmas. :)

I'm a bit shocked the letting agent or landlord didn't TELL you about that and GIVE you at least a visitors permit to use for the first few days. I call bullshit on that one!

The parking fines sound like total BS! I would definitely complain, if I was you! : < But I'm glad that you are starting a new job, and that you're getting settled in to your new place. Keep taking care of yourself! Hope the new job is great! :glomp: <3

We keep getting 97 dollar fines for not having a car registration... even though we do have a car registration. Our back license plate fell off and it's been over 3 months and they still haven't sent us new ones. The worst part is that they keep sending warrants out for my husband's arrest because we "don't have" a registration. Can you imagine someone with no criminal record going to jail for something so stupid, that they're not even guilty of? The second fine was because he didn't show up to a court date no one told us about after paying the first fine. I feel like we're being scammed, it's so strange...
